It’s certainly possible, everyone is different and some people are naturals at anal who need almost no preparation while others need to take more time. I’d suggest starting to explore anal play on your own right away and try to masturbate anally daily or every other day, working up in size from just a finger to a dildo around the size of your boyfriend over the course of that time.
